A . Pre Requisites to Root Samsung Galaxy Note 5 –

  • Make sure to charge the smartphone to at least 80 pc battery level before rooting

B. Important Terminology –

  • Download Mode – Turn off the Device, then Turn on by pressing Home + Volume Down + Power buttons together
  • Recovery Mode –  Turn off the Device, then Turn on by pressing Home + Volume Up + Power buttons together

C . Step by Step Guide on How to Root Samsung Galaxy Note 5 –

  1. Enable Developer Options by going to Settings – About Device – Tap Build Number 7 times
  2. Go to Settings – Developer Options – Enable USB Debugging
  3. Go to Settings – Developer Options – Enable OEM Unlocking
  4. Turn off the device and Reboot in Download Mode – A Download Screen will appear on success
  5. Connect the Samsung Galaxy Note 5 to PC via USB cable
  6. Open Odin.exe file -The box above ID:COM will turn blue
  7. In Odin – Check AP in Files (Download)
  8. Select the AP box and navigate to location of Custom Kernel for your device model number
  9. Click Start – Odin will flash the Kernel to your device
  10. A pass message will appear in Odin upon successful flash of Kernel
  11. Download Superuser SU from Google Play
  12. The Superser SU App will appear in the menu of the device

  1. Turn off the device and Reboot in Download Mode – A Download Screen will appear on success

  4. In Odin – Check AP in Files (Download)
