Nokia has launched its new smartphone – the Nokia 6 Android Smartphone after months of speculations and rumors. The Nokia brand trademarks are currently owned by HMD Global. The company has made the debut of smartphone in the Chinese market at a price of 1,699 yuan ( which translates to roughly $246 or Rs. 16,750).
The pricing factor seems to make the Nokia 6 smartphone an interesting buy for the mid range buyers as the smartphone comes with metal chauffeured frame along the edges and Metallic Power button and volume rockers. The Nokia 6 comes with USB type-C connectivity and 3.5 mm headphone jack as regular connectivity options. The device is manufactured by the Foxconn, and will be sold in China through the marketplace JD.com.
The Nokia 6 comes with 5.5 inch full HD display along with 2.5 D Gorilla Glass protection. The device has a physical home button below the display, which also has a fingerprint sensor embedded within it. The specifications of the device are at par with the smartphones in the mid range pricing category. The Nokia 6 comes with 16 MP Rear Camera with auto focus, phase detection and auto HDR, while it has a 8 MP front camera for selfies. The audio capabilities of Nokia 6 are enhanced by Dolby Atmos audio system coupled with Dual Amplifiers, which make music listening on the device much more enjoyable.
The Nokia 6 comes with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 430 octa Core processor coupled with 4 GB RAM. The Internal memory of the phone is sufficient at 64 GB. The smartphone will be exclusive to Chinese market and HMD Global has currently no plans to sell the smartphone outside Chinese market. However, the company is planning to launch six to seven smartphones in 2017, some of which may be launched beyond the Chinese market.
